Owner/Trainer

Peter is the owner and trainer of K9 Family Training. Peter has always loved dogs as a child and dreamed of being a K9 Police officer when he grew up.  Although life took him to another direction his dream of owning and training a well behaved German Shepherd was always in his heart. So when Peter got the chance to join Schutzhund club of Buffalo to train his very own German Shepherd Maverick in schutzhund (protection or guardian dog) it was like a dream come true. Schutzhund now called IGP originated in Germany as a breeding suitability test for German Shepherd dog. The IGP sport now consist of 3 phases which include tracking, obedience, and protection. Over the past 5 and a half years Peter learned and trained his own GSD and has achieved multiple titles including BH, IPO1, IPO2 and 2 time IGP3 titles which is the highest level of title you can achieve in the sport .
